Latest science and innovation strategy from DECC

The UK Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) has published its new Science and Innovation Strategy.

The document (download below) sets out how science and innovation informs the work that DECC does and describes the work of DECC scientists in a wide range of fields, including land-use science, atmospheric science, chemical engineering, geology, climate science and thermodynamics. The strategy describes the ways in which DECC supports innovators across the UK, helping to finance the development of carbon-capture and storage, biofuels, Smart Grids and other technologies.

The document is primarily aimed at academics, businesses and other researchers with an interest in climate and energy. Others who are interested in the work DECC does are encouraged to take a look, as the Strategy sets out in some detail the challenges facing the UK over the coming years and decades.
