Natural Environment Research Council
The Natural Environment Research Council funds world-class science in universities and its own research centres that aim to increase knowledge and understanding of the natural world.
The Natural Environment Research Council is tackling the 21st century's major environmental issues such as climate change, biodiversity and natural hazards. They lead in providing independent research and training in the environmental sciences.
Dr Pamela Kempton, Head of Research at the Natural Environment Research Council says 'success of Living with Environmental Change for the Natural Environment Research Council would be to make significant progress toward the stated aim of providing the predictive science to increase resilience to and reduce the costs of environmental change, and to do so in a way that facilitates collaboration among the LWEC partners so that the required research is delivered cheaper, faster, better.'
