Bio

Barry has been a professional science writer and editor for over 20 years.

After securing a PhD in Ancient and Early Medieval History at the University of Cambridge, he took on a marketing role for a major UK science and technology organisation before specialising in publications management.

Having worked on a series of UK and international energy and environmental programmes, including a 10-year spell as Managing Editor and Chief Writer for a major quarterly magazine on renewable energy, he set up his freelance writing company, No Barriers, in 2002.

From his base in Oxfordshire, Barry now works for a wide range of organisations in both public and private sector.
